Hi Nicole, thanks so much for visiting my website and for your compliments! I recommend taking the beginner drawing class before a painting class (having a foundation in drawing really helps in painting.) You can check when I’m teaching through this link: https://mayahum.com/teaching/ I will be offering the beginner course this summer in August, however it is very condensed (2, 3hr classes a week). If you want to start with an easier pace, I would wait to register for the Fall season (Sept – Dec) where it’s just one 3hr class a week, you also get more classes in the Fall than in the Summer. And I am always happy to look at student’s work at break or at the beginning or end of each class for extra guidance where needed. I’m not sure if you have, but you can also subscribe to my mailing list, where I send out monthly newsletters updating what classes I am teaching each season. http://maya-art.us7.list-manage1.com/subscribe?u=dd05621879871b54656515a25&id=52d6ececcb
      Hope this helps! Maya

Hi Maya, I was wondering where I can purchase your amazing art work and whether pieces are still available.

I am trying to choose between two of your watercolour courses…fun with watercolours or painting with primaries.

I am registered for travel sketching which covers some watercolour. Any advice?

Thank you for your interest! Fun with watercolours focuses on painting projects that encourages fun exploration – cultivating creativity and imagination, while picking up tips and tricks on how to use the medium! Painting with primaries focuses on colour theory. Note that the Travel sketching course already comes with a little lesson on colour theory. I hope that helps!
