Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great week. I am excited to share my upcoming 2026 one-day virtual paint workshops with Dovercourt Recreation this winter. These are one off sessions, so they are a great option if you want to get creative without signing up for multiple classes. I have three workshops running between January and March, and I thought it would be helpful to list them all in one place for easy access to information and registration. Canadian landscape in acrylic: Inspired by the Group of Seven, 14+ yrs & adults

Capture the quiet beauty of a Canadian winter in this acrylic painting workshop inspired by Group of Seven artist Lawren Harris and his iconic winter city scenes. We’ll explore bold shapes, colour, and the peaceful atmosphere of snow-covered streets. A creative way to celebrate the season—no experience needed! Lesson recordings are available to view for 7 days after each lesson for those who miss or wish to review a lesson. Offered online via Zoom with Dovercourt Recreation.

Materials: Pencil, Stretched Canvas or Canvas Board (approximately 8×10″ or larger), Acrylic paints (Red, Yellow, Blue, White and Black), Acrylic paint brushes (suggested: small and medium round brushes and one large flat brush), container of water, paper towels or rags, mixing palette, scrap paper the same size as your canvas, tape. Optional: hair dryer.
